ScheduleThe Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced their 2012 schedule. The Sea Dogs will open the 2012 season on the road with a doubleheader at 4:05 PM on Thursday, April 5th against the Reading Phillies. The home opener is set for Thursday, April 12th at 6:00 PM against the Binghamton Mets. Individual tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 AM at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office.
The Eastern League season consists of 142 games (71 home and 71 away) against 11 opponents. The 2012 season will be the Sea Dogs 19th year in Portland and tenth as a Boston Red Sox affiliate.
The 2012 schedule features a light April (11 games) and May (13 games) schedule with just 24 of the 55 games being played at Hadlock Field resulting in 66% of the home games occurring after June 1st. The month of August features a season high 16 home games. Additionally 33 of the 71 home games will occur on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Individual Tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale at the Hadlock Field Box Office on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 AM. Phone & Internet orders will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 5th. Season Tickets are currently on sale. Any questions regarding tickets should be directed to the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or tickets@seadogs.com.
Ticket prices will remain the same for the fifth consecutive season. Tickets are priced at $9.00 for Box seat tickets for adults, while seniors (62+) and children (16 and under) can have a Box seat for $8.00. Other seating options include Reserved seating, available at $8.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids and seniors. General Admission seats can be obtained at the economical price of $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids and seniors. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more.

Sea Dogs Now Accpeting Applications for Internships
InternsThe Portland Sea Dogs, Class AA Eastern League Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are looking to hire several interns for the 2012 baseball season. The Sea Dogs internship program is designed to prepare college students with an interest in the sports industry for a full-time career within the industry. Internships are available in the following areas; tickets, group sales, media relations, multimedia, grounds crew, and clubhouse.

Sea Dogs Well Represented in the Arizona Fall League
Arizona Fall League 2Alex Hassan, Dan Butler, Brock Huntzinger, Will Latimer, and Jeremy Kehrt will head to the prestigious Arizona Fall League and play for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Former Sea Dog Will Middlebrooks and 2010 manager, current Pawtucket skipper, Arnie Beyeler will suit up for the Scorpions as well.
Bryce Harper and Mike Trout, the top two overall prospects in Minor League Baseball according to Baseball America will join the former and currents Dogs' on the Scorpions roster.
